My soul glorifies the Lord
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has been mindful
of the humble state of his servant. (Luke 1:46-48)
It has been almost 4 years that I accepted Christ into my life. These 4 years have been a roller coaster ride in my life.
I learned a lot during this time and I still continue to do so.
Many people have helped me to learn, grow and mature during this time.
I have gone through some of the highs and lows of my life during this period like
- I have been so depressed I wanted to die
- I have experienced the happiest day of my life when my parents gave me to the love of my life in the presence of the Lord(My marriage)
- I have been broken
- I have seen myself getting back up
- I went through surgery and recovered to full health
During all these things I have felt the presence of God in my life.
I have also been blessed with the fellowship of so many amazing people who were with me during these times.
Shabna and Nikhil and the entire Bible study group were one of the first fellowships I was a part of, which helped me to learn the ABCs of faith. All of them led a life which encouraged me to love Jesus more. I will be forever grateful to them for the way they have been there for me and prayed for me all this time.
During this Thanksgiving season, I would also like to thank my church and everyone in it which I have come to love more every day. They are the perfect example of the church in Acts which we read about, how everyone is there for each other when we need them, always encouraging.
They are like a family to me. Who I can rely upon.
One person I would like to thank the most during this time is my husband who bears me for all the things that I am and am not. Without him, my life would be empty…
During this period let us thank the persons who made us who we are today, our family and friends.
Thank you, Jesus, for everything you have given me and also for everything you have not given me.
